My project progression

So far I have my first page of my project done; it gets hard at times, having to fix everything the way you want it. The thing that annoys me the most is having to put the boxes and verb examples inside them. My pages will mostly be made up of that, boxes. I need to find a way to fix it up and make it a bit more creative because right now it's just simple and boring.

School

School is almost over!! We just have 17 more days left. I am glad this school year is almost over, and summer is almost here. The only thing I am not excited about are exams; each class I suppose will have a harder exam than last semesters. I need to start organzing and studying. I just want to finish strong, and enjoy my summer.

my project

So far I have gathered enough information to start my project. I now know the purpose and the layout of my pages. I have an idea on how I am going to do things, but I will probably change it up when I get started with it and see how things are going.

Dreamweaver

I think that the new lesson that we learned yesterday in Dreamweaver can be really helpful. Everything can be in your proportion and set it to how you wish. It is easier than having to creat a table and fixing it up by the cellpadding and cellspacing. I hope to use this tool soon and create a web page using it.

This week

I'm glad this week is over. School was somewhat stressful, had 3 test and quizzes in the other classes. I am excited for this weekend; today i think i am just haning out with my cousin and going to the park. Tomorrow I will spend the whole day with my aunts and my cousin; we are planning to spend the night at my aunts. She told us we can go to her house and that she will take us where we like. I hope it doesn't rain.

My web page

Right now I am not sure what i am going to have on my web page or who will sponser it. One thing that I do know is that i want it to contain all kinds of stuff. I want it to have all the stuff we have been learning to put on a web page. The web page will have links, tables, images, and anything else that we have learned to add on a web page. I want to do an interesting topic that will be fun to work with.

Movie

Bill Gates is portrayed as a hero in The Pirates of Silicon Valley. He sticks to his beliefs and is determine on what he wants to accomplish. He fights for what he believes is right and does not give up. At the end he accomplishes his goal, and does this by his stubbornness and determination. He has a strong aspect in life, and wishes to complete his desires even though he has to go through tough things to accomplish them. Bill Gates tries his best to undergo any situation that is in his way of his goals.
In general, I really liked Bill Gates' attitude in the movie. His appearance at first made me think that he was just a smart guy that was probably bullied or bossed around all the time. He although, led himself and did not follow other people's demands unless he thought they were correct.
The result of his determination ended up very well and ended up benefiting him. This transformed the world, with his new ideas and inventions. If it were not for him, who knew how people would do things (as in with no computers). His effort helped everyone, and served him well also.

Last weekend

This past weekend, I spent the day with my family. On Friday I went to my uncles house, and had a family reunion. On Saturday my grandma had arrived from Mexico, so we made a small party for her. I also went to my uncles games that afternoon, and went back to my uncle's house to eat and spend time with my cousins. On Sunday all we did was go to church and went out to eat. I actually had fun on Friday and Saturday, and am looking forward to this weekend again.

This week

This week will hopefully be good, technically for us sophmore it is a 3 day week. We go to Wolf Run on Thursday and have no school on Friday. This weekend will hopefully be fun too; I am spending time with my family on Friday and Sunday. I am going to the Dallas Cup games on Friday also and hanging out with my best friend on Monday; we are going to visit my friend's school. So i am really excited for this week!

Tables

Making a table in html format is not as easy as i thought it was. You have to put the information in the right tab in order to get exactly what you want. What i like about it is that you can change your table in many different ways. Some are cellspacing, cellpadding, width using pixels, changing the border, and putting a different color in a cell. I enjoyed learning how to do this, and hopefully it does not get too complicated.

Today

Today is the last day of the 3rd quarter. Most of the seniors took the day off, and some of the other upper school students also did. We aren't learning any new material in my classes other than chemistry. We are either having some kind of party or watching a movie. I think the only real classes I am having today are math and chemistry. Their is no point in learning anything new; teachers should give us a break and let us relax. EXCITED for spring break!

Spring Break

Spring break is almost here. I'm really excited; we finally get a chance to relax. Fourth quater is right around the corner which means just one more quareter left in this year. I'm not planning anything special for spring break but all i really want is to relax and not worry about school. All I am planning to do is hang out with my family and friends.

Color Page difficulty

Making a page with all the information that was required and assigned to us, was somewhat difficult. Designing and choosing the different styles of the color scheme was fun, but organizing and wording the information that we had to look up was not easy. The information had to be re-worded and put into a saying that would let an 8th grader understand what was being said. I still had fun making this web page, and hopefully later on, I will learn more things to enhance my web pages.

Color page

My color page is the first web page that I have created on my own. I have learned much information from all these color models and codes that are used to make a web page. I did not know any of the color models that we were assigned to look up. I now know what the letters stand for and have a better understanding on how they function.

School

Third quater is stressful! Class material is getting more difficult, and teachers are expecting more from the students. The only thing that I am excited for is spring break, and after that 4th quater will finally begin. So far teachers are jamming in test and projects before we leave for spring break, which rushes the amount of time that is given for review and lectures for different material. The only thing that relaxes me right now are the weekends, but even then Sunday's are set aside to do homework.

Web Design Class

So far class has gone well. I have been caught up with all the material, and understand what we are doing. I think it's pretty interesting and fun learning all these little things about images and links. I am looking forward to learn more about web pages and any other material we will be learning later in the year.

Images

Images!!

-These past few days I have been learning a lot of information about different file types to save images. There is Jpg,gif,psd, and pnd, and they are all used with different purposes. For example if you want an image to be transperant; jpg would not be a good idea to use. The image size and color greatly effects its appearance, thats is one of the reasons that people have to be careful how they set it up and what image size they save it in.

Technology

Technology has advanced throughout the years, and in many cases this is helpful. I use my laptop for history notes and English papers that I have to write; it is every useful. It makes things easier, instead of having to waste paper and write my notes down, I can just type them with faster spead and less struggle. Phones with internet access can help in many ways. Students can use study stack through their phone which will help them with academic standards. Podcast is also used through a phone; kids are able to listen to different radio stations to help them learn the language in which they are listening to.

Winter Day February 11, 2010!!

Todays weather is awesome, snow is everywhere and the view of the trees outside look gorgeous. Just like my little sister said, the view outside is like a movie scene; snow covers the roofs, trees are filled with snow in there branches, and the roads are covered with white snow. This is rare, having snow in Dallas but it is quite amazing! The only bad thing about today is that we have school. Many schools were either delayed or closed down because of the weather but ESD was not! I am hoping that we get an early release and go home to enjoy the snow. I would love to go outside and play with the snow and just have fun.

Good logos

A good logo should have a catchy phrase or a simple but creative image that conveys the over all point. It should be memorable, unique and appropiate. If a boring phrase or a non- interesting image is shown, it will not wow the people and will not be fascinating.

This Barbie logo is simple but stands out with the neonish pink color and the letter font type that it has.

The Toysrus logo has colorful colors, and is liable to read. The letters are in weird shape, but it gives the logo a better look and makes it look more effective.

Coca colas logo is categorized as timeless, and has not lost its popularity over time unlike others. This logo is still catchy and still effective today, making it a well designed logo.

Class

I've enjoyed class so far. The html coding and designing new web pages is interesting. The material so far isn't too hard, but I am assuming that it will get harder throughout the year. I have learned new codes that I had not known before. I did know some codes such as the spacing, changing the font size and chaning the font color. The ones that i did not know were the title codes, the header, the bracket signs and the spacing between words. I think the way we are learning and doing things right now is great. I am looking forward in learning new material throughout the year, and I hope i can keep up with everything and not fall behind.
